Q: How do I work with multiple users on the same design?
A: RSDesigner designs cannot be opened simultaneously by more than one user. This restriction means that other methods must be used to allow users to work on sections of a design.
PTC has developed a process that can be utilized to allow developers of Block and Wiring Interconnection diagrams to share sections of a design to other users.
We recommend that you contact Technical Support at PTC to request a copy of the process document because it is very well written and covers the advantages and disadvantages of the process.
Note that the process relies on the use of a central catalog so you need RSDesigner 7 and the use of RSDesigner Advanced, not Lite.
