Q: How do I switch between the roles?
A: There are three roles that a user can take but only two apply within RSDesigner: user and editor. The third, administrator, applies when handling submitted central catalog files.
By default all users of RSDesigner take the user role and have to go through a special process to become editors. Firstly, a password must be set on the design. Secondly, the user must unlock the catalog by entering the catalog password.
This way central catalog items are restricted from being edited.
