Q: What items are not managed through the Central Catalog?

A: The RSDesigner Central Catalog does not control properties, sheet formats or catalog formats.

PTC recommends that a base design be used to define those items for all new designs. To propagate changes to properties we recommend use of a properties.csv file (see xxxx in help). The system does check for mismatching properties when loading Central Catalog items and can perform some conversion between types if necessary (e.g. integer to string).

To propagate changes to sheet and catalog formats we recommend using the package tool.
